Clafoutis is a very simple baked dessert, it is a traditional French dessert and it can be made with apples, pears, peaches, cherries, plums or grapes.
Ingredients: 3 eggs, 3 pears, 3 Petits Suisse (a thick-type yogurt; or mix some yogurt and cream cheese); sugar: 4 spoonful, flour: 3 spoonful, butter: 1 spoonful, a drop of milk and a dash of Rhum. In a large bowl, mix the eggs, sugar and Petit Suisse. Whip them well. Put in a baking dish. Mix the flour with ¼ cup of milk and add to the mix. Peel the pears, cut them in halves. One pear was very ripe and ready to be baked. But the other two: I decided to boiled them for a few minutes with a little bit water and a dash of Rhum. Slice the pears. And add them to the mix already in the baking dish. Bake in a Warm Oven for 45 minutes. A slice of warm Clafoutis with Pears and a cup of Coffee… It is delicious! For more details, see photos below.
