Veni, Sancte Spiritus,
Et emitte caelitus,
Lucis tuae radium.

Veni, pater pauperum,
Veni, dator munerum,
Veni, lumen cordium.

Consolator optime,
Dulcis hospes animae,
Dulce refrigerium.

In Labore requies,
In aestu temperies,
in fletu solatium.

O Lux beatissima,
Reple cordis intima
Tuorum fidelium.

Sine tuo numine,
Nihil est in homine,
Nihil est innoxium.

Lava quod est sordidum,
Riga quod est aridum,
Sana quod est saucium.

Flecte quod est rigidum,
Fove quod est frigidum
Rege quod est devium.

Da tuis fidelibus,
In te confidentibus,
Sacrum septenarium.

Da virtutis meritum,
Da salutis exitum,
Da perenne gaudium.
Amen. Alleluia.

Viens, Esprit Sain de Dieu,
Et fais jaillir des cieux
L'éclair de ta splendeur.

Père des miséreux,
Viens Esprit généreux,
Viens lumière des cœurs.

Que ta fraîcheur me calme,
Hote apaisant de l'âme
Parfait consolateur.

Repos de l'ouvrier
Paix du cœur enfiévré,
Espoir de l'homme en pleurs.

Clarté de paradis,
Pénètre les replis
De nos cœur de croyants.

Sans toi, Esprit divin
Dans l'homme il n'y a rien
Rien qui soit innocent

Lave son cœur sordide,
Baigne son cœur aride
Panse son cœur blessé.

Fléchis sa nuque raide,
Réchauffe son âme froide,
Rends droit l'esprit fausse.

A ceux qui s'abandonnent
A tes fidèles, donne
Les 7 vertus des saints.

Et la gloire des forts,
Le ciel après la mort,
Et le bonheur sans fin.
Amen. Alléluia

Viens, Esprit Saint
Et des cieux envoies
Tes rayons de lumière.

Viens, Père des pauvres,
Viens, don généreux,
Viens, lumière de nos cœurs.

Le meilleur des consolateurs
Espérance douce de l'âme
Douceur rafraîchissante.

Le repos des travailleurs,
La tempérance des passions
Le soulagement des affligés.

O lumière la plus heureuse
Pénètre les replis intimes
De nos cœurs fidèles a toi

Sans toi, il n'y a que le rien,
Rien qui soit dans l'homme
Rien qui soit innocent.

Lave ce qui est salie
Arrose ce qui est aride
Guéris ce qui est blessé

Fléchis ce qui est rigide
Réchauffe ce qui est frigide
Redresse ce qui est dévié.

A ceux qui te sont fidèles,
Qui te font confiance,
Donne les 7 dons sacrés.

Et le mérite des vertus,
Et le salut a la fin
Et le bonheur éternel.
Amen Alléluia

Holy Spirit, God of love,
Come and let fall from above,
Ray of your light.

Father come to those in need,
Come rewarding every deed,
Light of our hearts.

You the one who best consoles,
You most welcome guest of souls,
Refuge and rest.

Respite in the toil of life,
Subduer of the passion's strife,
Comfort in grief.

Light, which blessedness imparts,
Fill the inmost core of hearts,
Faithful and true.

In your absence all is pain,
Man's endeavor all in vain,
Harmful all things.

What is soiled, wash again,
What is arid, bless with rain,
What wounded, heal.

Warm again the love grown cold,
What unyielding, shape and mold
What wayward, rule.

Give, to the faithful hearts confessing,
Gifts beyond all else possessing,
Sevenfold worth.

Crown the strivings of the soul.
Give, when we have reached the goal,
Joy evermore.
Amen. Alleluia

Holy Spirit, God of love,
Come and let fall from above,
Ray of your light.

Come, Father to those in need,
Come, rewarding every deed,
Come, light of our hearts.

You the one who best consoles,
You sweetest hope of souls,
Refreshing delight.

In works, you bring us rest
In fevers, you bring us respite
In griefs, you bring us comfort

O blessed light, come to us,
Fill the center of our hearts,
Truly faithful to you.

Without you we are nothing
Nothing is in man
Nothing innocent.

What is soiled, wash again,
What is arid, bless with rain,
To what is hurt, bring healing.

Soften what became rigid,
Warm up what turned frigid,
Redress what has been twisted.

Give to the ones following you,
Placing all their trust in you,
The seven sacred gifts.

Reward the merits of the soul
With salvation at the end
And joy for ever and ever
Amen. Alleluia
